    Hip Replacement serious health

When a human being starts growing, his body builds up a propensity to come up with diverse heath complications. These health problems gradually weaken the functions of the body parts. One such harmful disease is arthritis which is considered to one of the painful health complications arising in the human body. Arthritis results in pain in the joints and the aftereffects usher on the hip and knee joints. As a result, people find difficult to move their hips flexibly since they experience a kind of stiffness in the joints. To tackle with such health complications, the hip replacement surgery can be a good option. The two types of surgeries that arthritis patients usually opt for are posterior hip replacement and anterior hip replacement. As far as an anterior hip replacement surgery is concerned, it's the least invasive surgical method. In fact, it has emerged to be the one of the most effective techniques to get rid of the increasing hip joint pains in the shortest possible time period.
However, those who have been subject to arthritis can always go for a rehabilitation session. Although, many prefer to go for surgeries, it's better to first opt for rehabilitation. In fact, these health programs can be quite helpful to get rid of hip and joint problems. Therefore, hip replacement surgery should be opted only when one fails to get positive results from the rehab sessions.

Hip Fractures Importance of Support - Risks for DVT

Hip Fractures Importance of Support - Risks for DVT Hip Fractures Importance of Support - Risks for DVT
At any age, the complications associated with fractures can be either simple or quite complex. Depending on the limb or extremity affected, the degree to which the fracture is present, patients with fractures recover at varying rates.
For those who suffer from hip fractures, a paramount factor of consideration is the age at occurrence. For those in our elderly population, the injury involving hip fracture commonly leads to death within one year, even when recovery seems to be on track.
If you, or someone you know, has suffered from a hip fracture, it is important to be realistic about the long term outcome. With survival rates very high, many hip fracture patients find their quality of life is significantly impaired by a hip fracture. With more than 50 percent of all survivors requiring the use of a walking aide for the remainder of the life span, activities that were once quite simple are now almost impossible.

In addition to decreased mobility, complications involving deep vein thrombosis is also quite common. DVT, in many cases, is at its highest risk in the period before and right after surgery. However, in some patients, DVT never resolves, resulting in another lifelong health complication.
Pain management and the need fro rehabilitation are a crucial part of recovery and improving mobility. However, it is believed that in some hip fracture patients, the degree of pain management is often difficult to control and, when coupled with electrolyte imbalances and medications, some patients develop psychological complications, even delirium. With the onset of psychological complications, the physical complications of hip fracture are only further complicated.

    injury of Hip Flexor muscles

Hip Flexor musclesYour Hip Flexor muscles are the muscles in your hip that allow you to walk, run, jump, and sit. These muscles are usually very strong however they can be injured just like any other muscle in the body.
When you injure your hip flexor muscles, this is called hip flexor injury (also known as hip pain strain). You can get a hip flexor injury by “over doing it”. For example, by over exercising, house cleaning, or any other activity you’re not use to.
But get this; you can even get a hip flexor injury by doing simple activities also like picking up your shoes, reaching to get your coffee cup or even stretching across the table. Why? It may be that you have not stretched your muscles enough or by hyper extending your hip muscles.
Symptoms include hip muscle pain, back pain, or hip and leg pain. If you suspect having hip flexor injury, stop what you’re doing, and see a health professional. Your health professional can either be your sports trainer, doctor, physical therapist, or even your chiropractor.
If your health professional diagnosis your hip flexor injury as minor, there are few steps you can take to help heal and alleviate the pain. Follow the instructions of your health professional. Your doctor may request you to rest the area and do not over strain your hip muscles. Apply ice for the 1st day or 2 to the affected area for 20 minutes and then no ice for 20 minutes. Sleep on the uninjured hip with a pillow in between your knees to prevent strain. Then after 2-3 days apply heat to the muscle.
The best treatment for hip muscle pain or hip and leg pain is to apply the over the counter cream called Arnica. Arnica is an odorless and non-sticky pain reliever that decreases hip flexor injury inflammation.

the hips and Waist circumference is a Health Indicators

the hips and Waist circumference is a Health Indicatorsthe hips and Waist circumference is a Health Indicators
Number of fat in the waist is one warning to change into a healthier lifestyle anymore.
According to an anti-obesity campaign in Britain, measuring waist circumference with a tape measure are the yardsticks of health are more accurate than weigh. By measuring waist circumference, the risk of type 2 diabetes and heart disease can be predicted more accurately.
Those who have the highest risk for diseases related to obesity is a man who has a waist circumference of more than 101 centimeters (40 inches) and women with a waist circumference of more than 89 cm (35 inches).
on a world research conducted at the University of Birminghan, England showed that fat cells around the waist is not a passive lump of fat but active cells which can disrupt the stability of excess insulin and improve blood pressure and cholesterol in the blood.
Such as heart disease and diabetes are now no longer seem to haunt those containing from outside, but also the people who look slim.

Waist circumference: less than 80 cm is include sign that show we are healthy

Waist circumference: less than 80 cm is include sign that show we are healthythis is 8 Signs You're Healthy!
When going to the hospital, the doctor will usually issue a measuring instrument. Start of measuring blood pressure, heart rate, until the sugar content. Under certain conditions, doctors also often determine the health of a person through various tests in the laboratory.
Basically there are a number or a benchmark that we have to remember in health affairs. That is, we must know how many numbers of normal blood pressure or cholesterol levels. By knowing these figures, we can take care of myself so no need to suffer the consequences of excessive and far from pleasant. According to experts, at least you need to get this important figure eight. Please read and kept in mind always!

    1. Blood pressure: 120/80
According to Dr. Arthur Tan, a heart specialist from Gleneagles Hospital, high blood potentially become the number one killer in the world in 2020. High blood often strikes without symptoms. Therefore, routine blood pressure checks obligatory. Do it once a month with a personal digital measuring devices, or two times a year by a doctor.
Make sure the blood pressure less than 120/80 mmHg. "At least 10 above or below 120/80. More or less than that require medical treatment, "said Dr. Ristanto Spb Wiwin, the surgeon and femininity Oncology Hospital Surabaya.

    2. Cholesterol: 2 to 1
According to Dr. John Chandrawinata, MND, SpGK, clinical nutrition specialist from the hospital Melinda Bandung, if your total cholesterol level above 200 mg / dL, it is called high. Is normal if less than 200 mg / dL. By calculation, LDL (bad cholesterol) below 100 mg / dL and HDL (good cholesterol) above 45 mg / dL.
In short, the ratio between LDL and HDL is 2:1. The higher levels of HDL, the higher the protection against coronary heart disease.

    3. Waist circumference: less than 80 cm
For adult women, waist size should be no more than 80 cm. If on top of that, it means there is a pile under the belly fat that is not necessary, and make us overweight. There are two types of fat accumulation in the abdominal area: under the skin and in organs. "What is dangerous is the second type because it can increase the risk of type 2 diabetes, hypertension, fatty liver, stroke and coronary heart disease," said Dr. John.

    4. Inflammation: under 10,000
Inflammation occurs in our body during inflammation. We can determine the level of inflammation of the body by measuring levels of C-reactive protein (CRP), produced by the liver and is part of the body's defense system.
According to Dr. Wiwin, CRP, normal is under 10,000. This means we get the risk of heart problems low. The level of inflammation over 15 000 should be treated and look for the source because there may be a hidden disease. For example, immune system disorders.

    5. Vitamin D: a minimum of 30
Vitamin D deficiency may increase the risk of liver disorders, multiple sclerosis, immune disorders, and osteoporosis. Risk of osteoporosis is determined by lifestyle, gender, and age. Women more prone to bone fragility than men. The risk increases when entering the age of menopause.
We can prevent osteoporosis with calcium saving early. In order for maximum absorption of calcium, our bodies need vitamin D. So the info from the National Institutes of Health. To find out how our levels of vitamin D, do the blood test. Levels of vitamin D per day is recommended for more than 30.

    6. Blood sugar: less than 140
The Western Pacific Declaration on Diabetes mention, diabetes mellitus (non-derived) is infecting adolescents and children. The main factor is obesity. The more fat tissue (especially in the abdomen), and muscle cells more resistant to insulin. In other words, obesity may inhibit insulin, so blood sugar rises.
So, we must always keep blood sugar levels remain normal. Still according to Dr. John, high or low blood sugar levels depending on the condition of our present review. Normal blood sugar levels after fasting for 6-8 hours, is 70-100 mg / dL, while blood glucose levels 2 hours after eating a normal is below 140 mg / dL.

    7. Bone density: -2.5
To find out how solid our bones, perform a bone density test or bone mass density (BMD). Dr. Michael Triangto, SPOK, from Slim + Health Sports Therapy said that the restriction of osteoporosis is a T-score of -2.5. If the value is more than -2.5, meaning including osteoporosis. If not, it means osteopenia (before getting osteoporosis.) Bone density test is recommended for menopausal women, had a broken bone, had a family history of osteoporosis, and abnormal spinal structure.

    8. Resting heart rate: 60-80
Healthy or not our physical condition can also be marked with the heart rate at rest (resting heart rate). The best measure resting heart rate is when just woken up.
How, press the pulse at the wrist or the neck below the jaw with the index finger. Count the pulse for 15 seconds, then multiply the result 4. Dr said Wiwin, normal resting heart rate for adult women is 60-80 per minute. If a person's resting heart rate exceeds the limit, means the heart works too hard so more at risk of heart attack or stroke

waist size, belt size, hips and healthy

waist size, belt size, hips and healthy bodiesOur belts size can be a practical guide (but relatively effective) on the health of our bodies? Frankly I'm writing this belt detonated by merchants who offer practical belt (the fix). No need to be punching holes in the ends and must be fully in accordance with our waist size at the time. At first glance I was interested .... but after thinking again, I revert to purchase intention. I prefer to wear belts that have been (with the model of perforated edges).
Belts that need to be drilled there, there is also an unnecessary hole (the fix).
Where would you prefer? If I select the hole. Why? Not that every time I change the size of our hips, we are also so troublesome again for punching holes in our belt again? After all the hole for long become obsolete and wrinkles that might be the trigger break our belts ... ..
I think if you have to make a hole in the belt again, which usually becomes smaller diametres, it would mean waist circumference (or stomach), we become smaller / slender. Does not that mean cholesterol / fat stored waist or stomach we become more reduced? If previously we felt overweight or fat, then with the smaller circumference waist / stomach was a sign we become more healthy.
(It could be via a belt clip system, we can also find us to be smaller waistline or a bigger way, through the former clips .... But it's clear that perforated belt size is more easily seen clearly .. we become more tired easily [self-aware] ..)
Our belts can be a practical initial pointer to condition our weight. Diminishing our waist size, then we tend to become more healthy. Because of fat in the waist the more reduced the risk, due to accumulation of cholesterol / fat in our bodies was reduced. Moreover, waist size is also a parameter of a person are overweight or not.
The ideal waist size is limited most of the 80 cm in women hips. Whereas in men, waist circumference is 94 cm greatest for black men and whites, and 90 cm for Asian men. More than that .... so please continue to weigh loss. It may be that our weight exceeds the ideal hip size.
So if the waist size we have the ideal (which is marked and can be seen easily through everyday wear belt size hole system), then it could be early clues of our health improves.

hips belt size show our ages

hips belt size show our agesAGE We're In Tie Waist/ belt size !
READ the title above, obtained two highly controversial notion. First on the belt that is just accessories that are always subject to almost everyone every day. Second, about cholesterol, which suggests scary, because people always associate with coronary heart disease.
According to the household health survey (SKRT, 1995) coronary heart disease is the leading cause of death topnotch. But, that's the conclusion of a study on the relationship between fat content in the abdominal cavity with cholesterol levels. To more clearly, let us further apart.
Excess food energy we consume each day cumulatively be backfilled as energy reserves in the form of body fat. By using Caliper, body parts are often carried out measurements to determine the existence of body fat among others on the front of the upper arm / biceps, arm over the back / triceps, on the back of the body exactly in the shoulder blade / subscapula and on suprailiaca.
According to Van Loan MD (1996) that body fat associated with heart disease is the accumulation of fat in the abdominal cavity. Meanwhile, BjOntOrp (1991) states that the fat in the abdominal cavity is a strong predictor of heart disease, blood vessels, and diabetes mellitus. Other experts, Wahlqvist ML (1977) that the fat in the abdominal cavity is the trigger for the occurrence of diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hiperlipidaemia, and cardiovascular disease. Meanwhile, according Ellissa Epel (2000) from San Francisco that for underweight women who often stress will increase the secretion of the hormone cortisol which can lead to accumulation of fat in the abdominal cavity as heart disease, high blood pressure, and stroke and diabetes mellitus.
According to Lapidus (1994) is technically to determine the existence of fat deposits in the abdominal cavity by looking at the value for the waist circumference by hip circumference, or better known as the value of waist-hip circumference ratio (RLPP) or waist to hip ratio. By using a tape meter used by tailors, waist circumference measured precisely or centimeters above the navel, and hip circumference were measured to the right in the middle of the buttocks.
RLPP high value reflects the amount of fat in the abdominal cavity. Next Bray (1996) divides RLPP into two categories, namely category RLPP high and low RLPP. For men is considered high if the value RLPP more than 0.95 and for women more than 0.80. In addition, body fat as well as a reflection of overweight / overweight or obese. Meanwhile, Hippocrates (460-359 BC), better known as the father of science, since the distant days have suggested that obese people die sooner.
From the above description can be concluded that body fat is very close to a variety of degenerative diseases. Degenerative diseases which are very popular ie coronary heart disease. One of the risk factors for coronary heart disease is due to the occurrence dislipidaemia.
Dislipidaemia manifestation is the high species total cholesterol and high LDL cholesterol and low HDL cholesterol types. Total cholesterol in the community better known as cholesterol alone. While LDL cholesterol is known as a type of bad cholesterol, because it can cause the occurrence of coronary artery calcification and send and hoarding of cholesterol in coronary arteries and are highly atherogenic.
If associated with coronary heart disease, the risk of CHD increased 1.0 percent for every increase of 1 mg / dl LDL cholesterol. Therefore, try to always lower your LDL cholesterol levels (below 130 mg / dl) and low total cholesterol (below 200 mg / dl). Instead type HDL cholesterol is known as good cholesterol, because as the core oxidant that can inhibit the production of peroxidase fat or prevent LDL oxidation and can reduce blood clotting. If associated with coronary heart disease, that the risk of heart disease will decrease 2-3 percent for each additional 1 mg / dl HDL cholesterol. Therefore, try to always higher your HDL cholesterol levels (above 45 mg / dl).
As evidence of allegations about a link between fat in the abdominal cavity that stated at the RLPP with cholesterol levels, it has been studied in the city of Surabaya. The result is that there is a significantly positive relationship between RLPP parallel with LDL cholesterol and total cholesterol. That is, the higher the value RLPP or more deposition of fat in the abdominal cavity will be followed by high LDL cholesterol levels was also accompanied by increased total cholesterol.
In simple terms it can be said that the higher levels of LDL cholesterol and total cholesterol the longer belt size of one person. Or LDL cholesterol and total cholesterol level is directly proportional to the length belt. To reduce total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol, in addition to drugs is to lose weight to achieve ideal body weight.
As for HDL cholesterol, there is a significantly negative relationship between RLPP parallel with HDL cholesterol. This means that the higher the value RLPP or the more fat deposits in the abdominal cavity will be followed by merendahnya HDL cholesterol levels. Simply dikakan that the longer the person's belt, the lower the HDL cholesterol level person. Or HDL cholesterol is inversely proportional to the length belt. To raise levels of HDL cholesterol, in addition to drugs is to increase physical activity, losing weight and not smoking.
One study proved that by doing aerobics and jogging run that requires 6 kilocalories per minute for one hour 3-4 times per week over a period of six months can increase HDL cholesterol reached 33.83 percent. In addition, that any reduction in 0.5 kg of fat will increase one percent HDL cholesterol.

The spine is such a substation for 31 pairs of nerves that become the central nervous system which regulates all the body's organ systems including system balance. These nerves exit through small openings in the spine to various muscles, organs, even to the skin tissue. Spinal cord function as a nerve center that transmit impulses to the brain and as a reflex center. Stimulus (sensory impulses) that the receptor organ to propagate through the dorsal horn of the spinal cord and into motor impulses. Then the impulse out of the spinal cord via the ventral horn toward the effector. In the dorsal horn nerve cell bodies contained a liaison (association connector) that receives impulses from sensory nerve cells and will menghantarkannya to motor nerve cells.
If there is subluxation (vertebral displacement), then the nervous system to injury and the energy flow to organs is distracted. Because of the complexity of the composition of the spine, even normal movement of the spine can cause interference, such as falls, either lifting weights, movement on one side of a repetitive, incorrect posture can interfere with the mechanism of the spine. That is why, traumatic spinal cord can cause paralysis.
Here are some useful tips so that we can maintain the condition of the spine in various activities in which we live:

    1. When will lift the goods or the baby from the floor, bend your knees, do not bend. When you bend and lift heavy items from the floor, it can hurt and burden the spine with the heaviest burden. One-one, even cramps or dislocation can occur. When will lift heavy items from the floor, try to keep the spine straight. Bend your legs to align themselves with the goods. Lift the goods are close to the body, then slowly stand up again.

    2. Similarly, when you will put heavy items into place high above your head, try not to lift the item higher than your shoulders. If you will store heavy items on high, use a ladder or chair. Lifting heavy weights above your shoulder line of the spine can cause enormous pressure.

    3. Change positions often as possible if you have to stand in a long time. For example, when you stand up while ironing clothes, use a small stool or chair to put your feet alternately. This is necessary to balance and replace the pedestal weight. Stand up straight, do not bend with the head upright.

    4. Walk straight, with head looking forward and back straight. Walk with erect posture, forward looking, and the ends of the feet pointing straight ahead. Use comfortable shoes and have the right thin. Avoid standing in the same position for long periods. Do not walk bent, avoid using high heels in a long time.

    5. When in the car, sit up straight, promote rider seating for your feet closer to the pedal. Keep your knees aligned with hips. Chock lower back with a towel roll or advocate specific spine. Do not sit too far from the steering wheel. Watch your feet when stepping on the pedal. If too far, hold, because when the leg muscles suddenly stretch without warming can cause cramps and pressure on the spine.

    6. While sitting at the computer or in front of the television which usually lasts a long time, make sure your thighs parallel to the floor, not to bend the legs too high (that means your knees are higher than the thigh) or your legs dangling far from the floor. Let the palms of your feet flat on the floor and your back is getting support from the back seat. For more safe, give a rolled towel in the lower back. Make sure you look straight ahead, not down or look up. An uncomfortable position for long periods can cause muscle cramps.

    7. During sleep, humans do have the habit and comfort positions respectively. However, to keep the backbone fixed properly, make sure the bed is hard and flat. When sleep on his side, bend your knees slightly, keep your knees are stacked. If you sleep on your back, give a small pillow under your knees. Avoid sleeping on your stomach, because it could hurt your spine. Avoid sleeping on the media are too soft, like a sofa, because it could not support the spine.
