Deepika Padukone was approached by a rich and wealthy Punjabi London family to dance to her item song, ‘Dum Maro Dum’ but Deepika turned down the offer. She was asked to perform at a nightclub.
"It was supposed to be a private party with family members and friends only.
Since Dippy's sporting an extremely sexy look in the song, they wanted her to wear the skimpy shorts and perform the same moves," reveals a source.
A source from London reveals, "The DMD song has been playing in night clubs. The family who made the offer is extremely rich and wealthy and from Knightsbridge.
They were ready to pay her a bomb just for one song. The actress initially thought it was a joke, but when the proposal came in form of a letter with the amount cited, she was shocked.
She has had many such offers in the past, but has always refused them."
The family was totally disappointed because they had already booked the club and designed the club according to songs requirement.
A source close to Deepika confirms, "The offer was made to her. But she has made it very clear that private parties are not her scene. She wouldn't do it for any amount."
Not only Deepika but recently, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan also refused to dance at a private function despite offering an whopping amount.
